Got a decent GPA on the 1st semester of NTU. :D That's all?! Ah whatever. -- What I like about 2013. =P 1. Became a relief teacher for 1 month, and actually took over 1 actual tutorial. :D 2. The fun times working in ILS~ 3. Satisfaction through teaching tuition (Surprisingly I didn't go crazy over Patrick) XD 4. Not as shy when it comes to talking to girls. :) 5. The fun outings with War and WL! Things which I did not do in 2013... o.o 1. Club (ah oh well) 2. Get a gf (Even though kena nagged for a whole year) 3. Night cycling @_@ 4. Learn a new language (Postponed to taking language as UE) 5. Motivate Patrick to study on his own ----- Goals for the new year~! 1. Maintain GPA to be at least 4.2 after 2 more semesters (That's 3.98 per module!) 2. Clear RT and FT before Year 2 Sem

Such an opportunity should not be missed! Therefore me, SY, Tean and RJ bought some tickets to listen to the delicate voices of the young Pioneers, appreciate the beauty of such fine arts and perhaps even get mesmerized into a new dimension of glass-breaking music...  Ok fine, the glass-breaking is a joke, and so are the other few descriptions. We went there just to support ZH. Cramming up your modules, trying to be the very best and make far ahead plans to go for a miserable exchange... That's the mindset of many students, who want to try something new instead of circling round and round in their school, eating the same old boring food and passing by the school advertisement board which has not been updated for the past year or so. Well, is it really a good idea to go for exchanges? Pop quiz! Q: What is a better way to unwind yourself after studying a lot of nonsense maths that almost nobody uses it in real life? Since it's a good opportunity to take a break from all the nonsense truth tables / other maths, why not lepak a bit? =P So yup, posting about both outings! ========== 31 Aug - Lab singout! The outing consisted of a singout at Kbox at the building beside Lot 1, so yup, a revisit to CCK. :) Perhaps it's the hectic schedule of uni life, but by some random equilibrium law, the total sum of earliness in total time space t must be equals to 0. (lolwut) As a result, I was auspiciously late by about 10 mins and kind of kena disturbed by KY. Aiya sian. =/ TW, Jesmond, and Darren were already there. Nobody seemed to have changed, which is quite a good thing.

Perhaps it would not do justice to the organisers if I were to skip posting about the SPMS Orientation week, which is supposedly more special as there were planned games, unlike other faculties...? So here it goes! Posting about the 1st 2 official days of my life in NTU, which were mainly talks and activities to welcome freshmen. =D =========== Day 1 (5/8/2013) An auspicious start of the 4-year uni life begins with a heavy thunderstorm, perfect temperature for sleeping. The welcome activities were planned to begin at 10am, checking the time to be slightly past 9am, I collected my matriculation package and rested a bit at the Koufu canteen. What I thought the matriculation package to be: Goodies, welcome gifts, some toys and brochures, a big bag of 'Welcome to NTU' stuff, matriculation card, etc... What the actual package contains: matriculation card, clicker device in a very small blue box. -_- That was disappointing. 1000 In the SPMS LT

I regret skipping the Linear Algebra lecture today... Yeah, it must be disappointing to see a significant proportion of the cohort being absent. Disrespectful, as someone called it. Damn the MATLAB assignment, if I have known that the deadline is postponed, I wont skip the lecture... ~~~ I promise not to skip anymore linear algebra lectures for no apparent reason...

What I have learnt in this week... 8/2 is technically NOT equals to 4/1. 'Only if' has a completely DIFFERENT meaning from 'If and only if'. Just because something is not rational, doesn't mean its irrational. Everything I knew about limit is simply inaccurate and not precise WL and my knowledge of tangent is si bei cui. If the conclusion is F -> F in logic theory, then any arguments are valid. Real number is a subset of complex number. The PJ graphing technique transformation notes is not flexible. o_O Nobody gets coding theory. --- Exercise does not only include gyming / jogging at a place, it happens when you have to rush from the South spine com lab to the North Spine LT as the lecture notes is uploaded only 15mins before the lecture. -_-!!!
